Belarc products automatically create an accurate and up-to-date central repository (CMDB), consisting of detailed software, hardware and security configurations. Our products are used for software license management, configuration monitoring, cybersecurity status, information assurance audits, IT asset management, and more.

Gary NewmanPresident
Gary has over 30 years of experience (engineering and engineering management) with leading technology firms such as Eastman Kodak (Sr. Director Advanced Development, imaging and color technologies), Lucasfilm (Sr. Engineer, R&D, PIXAR image computer), Ampex (Adv. Tech. Div., professional audio and video equipment), Picture Element Ltd. (Dir. New Product Dev., digital TV prototyping systems), and XMX (Sr. Dir., high speed electronic color printing). In addition, Gary holds twenty one US patents. Gary has a B.S. Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College and an M.S.E.E. from the University of Illinois.

Sumin has over 30 years of experience in helping to build successful technology firms, such as Computer Controls (building control systems), Eliza (telephony-based voice recognition), ProcessTech (dynamic modeling software), and Adaptive Networks (networking over AC power lines). Sumin has a B.S. Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. Management from M.I.T.
Our Customers
Autodesk uses Belarc's system on over 16,000 laptops, desktops and servers located throughout the world to manage their software licenses, optimize their SaaS licenses, and to monitor important cyber security controls. Belarc hosts Autodesk's BelManage and BelAnalytics systems via SaaS.
Bureau of Land Management use BelManage on 15,000 of their IT assets located throughout the US. The consolidation of this configuration data allows the BLM to implement enterprise wide software license management and cybersecurity monitoring.
Catholic Relief Services use BelManage on 4,500 of their IT assets located in over 100 countries. The detailed software, hardware and configuration data of these assets is updated daily in CRS's BelManage server located in Baltimore, MD. CRS uses BelManage for configuration control, software license management and IT security compliance. They have used BelManage since 2005.
The Federal Aviation Administration use BelManage on over 57,000 of their IT assets. Detailed configuration data is updated daily to their BelManage server and SQL database in Oklahoma City, OK. Administrators located throughout the US are able to log into BelManage to view reports representing the IT assets they are responsible for. The FAA use BelManage and the BelAnalytics module for software license management, configuration management, and IT asset and lifecycle management.
The US Patent & Trademark Office uses Belarc's system on 30,000 desktops, laptops and servers to optimize their software licenses, manage new software purchases and monitor security controls.
Department of State Diplomatic Security Service has the largest global reach of any U.S. federal law enforcement agency, with offices in 29 U.S. cities and in more than 270 locations around the world. Diplomatic Security started by using Belarc to monitor Cybersecurity controls and is now also using Belarc for Software Configuration and License management.
The U.S. Air Force 844th Communications Group use BelManage on over 25,000 of their IT assets for software license management, software compliance and IT security compliance. BelManage operates on both the USAF NIPRNet and SIPRNet networks. They have continuously used BelManage since 2006.
